The present invention concerns an onboard control unit (UC) for an unmanned aircraft (P100). The onboard control unit (UC) is programmed specifically for a mission and configured to be linked to a flight control system (SV) of the unmanned aircraft (P100), said flight control system comprising an autopilot module (AP). The onboard control unit (UC) comprises an environment sensor (CE). The onboardcontrol unit (UC) comprises a unit (UM) for storing and processing data from the environment sensor (CE) and mission parameters, the control unit (UC) being suitable for modifying at least one parameter of the flight control system (SV) or one mission parameter based on the mission data and the data from the environment sensor (CE).
