The invention provides a gantry crane container hoisting control system and method. According to the gantry crane container hoisting control system and method, the gantry crane container hoisting process is controlled through a hoisting appliance container-hoisting signal, an unlocking-locking signal and a hoisting appliance height signal; a truck lane, the lateral surfaces of a container on a container yard as well as the gaps between a container truck and the container are detected through a laser scanner, so that the container-truck alignment can be achieved, the pressing of a truck head during the hoisting process can be prevented, and the anti-hoisting control can be achieved; and meanwhile, whether an obstacle exists on the truck lane or not is detected, so that the collision betweena gantry crane and an adjacent container or the obstacle can be prevented. A laser scanning line is aligned with the space clearance between a platform trolley of the container truck and the bottom surface of the container for scanning and distance measuring; the controller performs comprehensive linkage analysis according to the laser scanning information, the hoisting appliance height signal, the hoisting appliance unlocking-locking signal and the container-hoisting signal, and controls the hoisting and conveying process; and if detecting a lock head signal, the system gives an alarm immediately and sends a hoisting stop signal to a PLC control system of the gantry crane, and thus the hosting process is stopped.
