The invention relates to a helicopter and a tail assembly thereof. The tail assembly comprises a tail pipe, a tail motor installed on the tail pipe, a rotating blade installed on the tail motor and acontroller used for controlling the tail motor, wherein a first heat dissipation hole is formed in the tail pipe side of the tail motor, and an air outlet is formed in the blade side; the tail pipe isa hollow pipe, a controller is arranged in the tail pipe, and a second heat dissipation hole corresponding to the first heat dissipation hole in position is formed in the side wall of the tail pipe so that gas in the tail pipe and the tail motor can be exhausted through the air outlet. Thus, the heat generated by the controller can be discharged into the air through the tail pipe and the tail motor, and the heat generated when the tail motor works can be discharged in time, namely, the heat cannot be concentrated in the tail motor and is dissipated into the air. And through the arrangement ofthe second heat dissipation hole, the first heat dissipation hole and the air outlet, heat generated when the controller and the tail motor work can be effectively reduced, so that the service life of the controller and the tail motor is prolonged, and potential safety hazards are avoided.
