The invention discloses an axle impeller braking device for a high-speed train. The axle impeller braking device for the high-speed train comprises an impeller, a separating plate, a shielding cover, a sliding rod, a spring, a lifting lever and a driving mechanism, wherein the impeller is arranged on an axle, the shielding cover is used for covering the impeller on the separating plate by virtue of the sliding rod and the spring arranged on the separating plate; when the train sends out a braking instruction, a driving mechanism controls the lifting lever to move the shielding cover away from the impeller along the axial direction, the impeller rotating at high speed along with the axle does work to the air and violently colloids with head-on air, and kinetic energy of the train is dissipated to the air, so that the aim of braking is achieved; and when the train sends out a braking stopping instruction, the lifting lever is folded, and the shielding cover covers the impeller again by virtue of spring tension, so that the impeller is separated from the air. The axle impeller braking device for the high-speed train is simple in structure, high in braking efficiency and strong in braking force, and time required for braking and braking distance can be obviously shortened; and the axle impeller braking device for the high-speed train has no mechanical wear, has the advantages of no maintenance and long life and is a braking means with brand new concept.
