The invention discloses an elevating mechanism for a forklift. The elevating mechanism comprises two front hydraulic cylinders and two rear hydraulic cylinders; end portions of piston rods of the two front hydraulic cylinders are connected with front supporting blocks, respectively, and end portions of piston rods of the two rear hydraulic cylinders are connected with rear supporting blocks, respectively; the two front supporting blocks are connected through a forklift front supporting arm, while the two rear supporting blocks are connected through a forklift rear supporting arms; the two front hydraulic cylinders and the two rear hydraulic cylinders are arranged at four angles of a rectangle; the corresponding front and rear hydraulic cylinders are connected through connecting beams; the connecting beams are seamless steel tubes. With the structure, the elevating mechanism for the forklift has the following advantages: 1, when a four-way forklift needs to transport goods at a higher position, the four-way forklift is lifted by using the elevating mechanism, so that the four-way forklift operates on goods and loading and transporting of the goods at the higher position are realized; and 2, the elevating mechanism realizes stable supporting for the four-way forklift.
