The invention provides a running rail and a rail transit system, which relate to the field of rail transit and aim at reducing building and running cost of the running rail. The main adopted technical scheme is that the running rail comprises magnetic flux differential stators (magnetic flux differentiators) and a laid rail, wherein the magnetic flux differential stators can form a closed magnetic flux loop together with a magnetic flux generating mover (magnetic flux generator), wherein mounting ends allowing the magnetic flux differential stators to be arranged are alternately arranged on the laid rail; and when the magnetic flux differential stators are mounted at the mounting ends, the magnetic flux differential stators form a running rail of the magnetic flux generating mover. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, as the magnetic flux differential stators, which can form the closed magnetic flux loop together with the magnetic flux generating mover, are adopted on the running rail, the invention is advantaged in that the running rail is simply structured, coils do not need to be mounted on the magnetic flux differential stators of the laid rail and the laying cost is low when being compared with the prior art which has the defect that the coils and iron cores need to be laid along the rail for a long distance and power needs to be supplied to the coils and the iron cores.
