A horizontal tail control mechanism for an unmanned aerial vehicle is composed of a horizontal tail stabilizer, horizontal tail steering engine connecting plates, steering engines, steering engine driving shafts, connecting rods, pin shafts, a horizontal tail elevator, elevator connecting plates and elevator protecting wings. The steering engines and the pin shafts are arranged at the two ends of the horizontal tail stabilizer, the horizontal tail steering engine connecting plates are fixed to the steering engine driving shafts on the steering engines, the two ends of the horizontal tail steering engine connecting plates are connected with one ends of the connecting rods respectively, and the other ends of the connecting rods are connected with the two ends of the elevator connecting plates respectively; the elevator protecting wings are arranged at the two ends of the horizontal tail elevator respectively, and the elevator connecting plates are fixed to the inner sides of the elevator protecting wings respectively; the elevator protecting wings are connected with the horizontal tail stabilizer through the pin shafts. The steering engines serving as driving devices drive the horizontal tail steering engine connecting plates connected with the steering engine driving shafts to rotate within a preset angle, the horizontal rail elevator is adjusted in the vertical direction with the pin shafts as the axes through the connecting rods and the elevator connecting plates connected with the connecting rods, and then elevating of the unmanned aerial vehicle is controlled.
