The invention relates to the technical field of airplane ground maintenance equipment, in particular to a buffering device for an airplane tractor. The defects in the prior art are overcome, and according to the buffering device for the airplane tractor, the service life of an airplane is long, operation is easy, and detection is convenient. The buffering device comprises an airplane traction ring (1), a traction load limiting bolt (2), a buffering device main rod (3), a shell (4), a control handle (5), a front limiting check block (6), an installing end cover (7), buffering isolation gaskets (8), buffering gaskets (9), a rear limiting check block (10) and a fixator (11). When large loads exist, the buffering isolation gaskets (8) and the buffering gaskets (9) on the buffering device for the airplane tractor are checked so as to judge whether flaw inspection needs to be conducted on the load limiting bolt (2) or not, the maintenance frequency of equipment is reduced, and the service life of the maintenance equipment is prolonged.
