A vehicle capable of running in a chained mode comprises a frame body, a moving mechanism, a power mechanism, a vehicle running signal device, a braking device, a chained running control system, a self-driving control system and a chain hanging traction device. The chained running control system comprises a chained vehicle telecommunication connector end, the chain hanging traction device is assembled on the frame body, and the chained vehicle telecommunication connector end is assembled to the frame body. When the vehicle is used on ordinary days, a driver independently drives the own vehicle through the self-driving control system; if grouping is needed for self-driving travel and the like, a chained vehicle platoon can be formed, and special trailers are used for pulling the vehicle platoon, so that safety, environment friendliness and easiness are achieved, and use cost is low.
