The invention provides an intelligent elevator system based on a mobile terminal and an intelligent elevator riding method. The intelligent elevator system comprises a user terminal for elevator passengers, an elevator information acquisition device and a backstage server. The elevator information acquisition device is used for acquiring elevator operation information, actual condition information in each elevator car and actual condition information of each elevator hall and sending acquired data to the backstage server. The user terminal for the elevator passengers is communicated with the backstage server through a wireless communication network. The intelligent elevator system has the beneficial effects that the position and the operation state of a current elevator can be known by the elevator passengers in real time, the backstage server of the system gives a series of elevator riding schemes by taking various conditions into consideration, the passengers can make good time plans conveniently, and the unnecessary waiting time is shortened.
