The invention provides a ship monitoring system based on satellite wireless communication technology and belongs to wireless monitoring field. The ship monitoring system is composed of a sea-dedicated communication satellite, a ship monitoring center, a ground receiving station, and a monitoring command center. The ship monitoring center is wirelessly connected with the sea-dedicated communication satellite. The sea-dedicated communication satellite is wirelessly connected with the ground receiving station. The ground receiving station is connected with the monitoring command center. The ship monitoring center monitors the environment of a ship in real time, sends the environment data of the ship to the ea-dedicated communication satellite. The sea-dedicated communication satellite further sends the environment data to the monitoring command center via the ground receiving station in order that the monitoring command center may know the navigation state of the ship in real. The ship monitoring system solves a problem of steamship navigation safety.
