A cage-separating type miner safety protection device for a vertical shaft lifter rope-breakage cage-crashing accident comprises a cage locking and separating device, a top plate, hydraulic cylinders, electromagnetic proportional overflow valves, rolling devices, safety ropes, safety belts, a displacement sensor, a speed sensor, a steel wire rope tension sensor and a signal processor. The cage locking and separating device is installed on the side face of a cage, the top plate is arranged on the upper portion of the inner wall of the cage, the hydraulic cylinders are arranged below the top plate, buffering belts of the rolling devices are connected to piston rods of the hydraulic cylinders, the safety ropes are connected to the lower portions of the rolling devices, and the other ends of the safety ropes are connected to a safety belt worn on a miner. The pendulum bob type rolling devices are utilized for locking the buffering belts when cage crashing occurs; the cage locking and separating device is adopted for separation from the lower portion of the cage when the cage can not be braked automatically, braking pliers and braking ropes provide sufficient braking force for the upper portion of the cage, the electromagnetic proportional overflow valves are utilized for controlling small cavities of the hydraulic cylinders to perform backpressure oil drainage to provide buffering force, and the miner can be effectively prevented from being hurt when rope-breakage cage crashing occurs.
