The invention provides an automatic powering-off mechanism of an elevator buffer. The automatic powering-off mechanism of the elevator buffer is simple in structure and reasonable in design and comprises a contactor switch, a countersunk through hole and a proximity switch, wherein the contactor switch comprises a rod cap and a switch feeler rod, the switch feeler rod is sleeved with a reset spring, the contactor switch is correspondingly matched with the countersunk through hole and can freely and vertically move, and the sensing end of the proximity switch points to the vertical direction of vertical movement of the contactor switch. The automatic powering-off mechanism has the advantages that the whole automatic powering-off mechanism is installed on an end cap, and the mechanism can wholly rotate with the end cap when being compressed. Therefore, the problem of twist deformation of the switch feeler rod does not occur, the automatic powering-off mechanism can be used for a long time, and the switch feeler rod is very short, small in size, simple in structure and low in cost.
