The invention relates to a creeping type pipeline robot carrier system and a working method thereof. The carrier system comprises obstacle clearing claws, and further comprises an outer pipe, a driving assembly and a ball wheel, wherein the driving assembly comprises a motor, a chain wheel and a chain which are connected in sequence; the chain is arranged on the outer wall of the outer pipe; the chain is provided with a ball body fixing seat; the ball wheel is matched with the ball body fixing seat to form a universal wheel structure. The ball wheel is matched with the ball body fixing seat to form the universal wheel structure, so that the carrier system can move in a creeping manner along the working pipeline and easily go across a larger obstacle; therefore, the problems that the carrier system is halted in the working pipeline and cannot work normally are solved.
