The invention belongs to the technical field of elevator safety design, and discloses a bottom airbag air inflation buffer control mechanism. The mechanism comprises a dropping protection controller, a power source, a wireless signal alarm, a wiring harness, an infrared distance meter, an infrared distance measurement fixed point block, a signal transmitter, a signal receiver, a high-pressure gas holder, an electromagnetic valve, an airbag, motors and telescopic rods. The dropping protection controller, the power source and the wireless signal alarm are sequentially arranged on the upper surface of the top of a lift car. The infrared distance meter is arranged on the lower surface of the bottom end of the lift car. According to the bottom airbag air inflation buffer control mechanism, when the dropping protection controller monitors dropping of the lift car through the infrared distance meter, corresponding emergency equipment is controlled to be started, and rescue workers are informed of arrival in time through the wireless signal alarm. The bottom airbag air inflation buffer control mechanism is reasonable in design, simple in structure and suitable for optimization design of vertical elevator dropping loss-reducing systems.
