The invention discloses a design method for reducing noise of a deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform. The method comprises the steps of attaching wall plates to independent cabin walls; attaching wall plates to walls of living cabins and office cabins which contain non-independent cabin walls; adopting composite rock-wool panels for ceilings of all the living cabins and office cabins; attaching damping materials and fixing thick rock-wool felt to indoor ceilings and cabin walls of an air conditioning machine chamber of a main deck and an air-conditioner chamber of an intermediate deck; fixing silencers/noise eliminating pipes to power equipment outlets; attaching damping materials to a carbon dioxide chamber, a fitness chamber and cabin walls shared by double living cabins on a deck (01), and conducting thermal insulation; attaching damping materials to cabin walls of a network terminal chamber and a common-use uninterruptible power supply chamber on the main deck, and conducting thermal insulation and sound absorption; adopting wall plates for non-independent cabin walls of living cabins, adjacent to central air conditioning machine chambers, of the main deck and the intermediate deck. By means of the method, noise of all the cabins can meet requirements of cabin noise standards regarding ships and marine mobile drilling systems stipulated by the International Maritime Organization.
