A semi-submersible type deepwater work platform comprises a sealed type steel floating body, an above water platform, steel stand columns and a tension type anchoring device. The sealed type steel floating body is formed by pairwise splicing six same approximately-trapezoidal floating units, and a regular hexagonal through hole is formed in the center of the sealed type steel floating body. The above water platform is a regular hexagonal column body, and the six steel stand columns are perpendicularly and evenly distributed between the spliced sealed type steel floating body and the above water platform; the tension type anchoring device is composed of a balancing weight, a pulley, a steel wire rope and an anchoring machine; and the pulley is fixed to the top of the balancing weight, and the steel wire rope strides the pulley to be connected with the sealed type steel floating body and the above water platform. The semi-submersible type deepwater work platform has the advantages that the work platform is simple in structure, convenient to assemble, and low in cost, in the working process, most of the structure is located in a deepwater area, the platform is located above a water surface, so that the influence of waves on the platform is small, the overall stability is good, and the platform is suitable for above water work of above water throw filling, underwater slope arranging, ship unloading, cargo transferring and the like of deepwater breakwaters
