The invention discloses a two-section-boom telescoping mechanism for elevating fire trucks, automobile hoisting machines and related machines. The two-section-boom telescoping mechanism comprises a base boom and a second-section boom, wherein an oil cylinder is arranged in a boom cylinder; the end of a piston rod of the oil cylinder is connected with the base boom. The two-section-boom telescoping mechanism is characterized in that pulleys I and pulleys II are correspondingly arranged at the near end and the far end of a cylinder barrel of the oil cylinder; one ends of a chain I is connected to the far end of the base boom; the other end of each chain I round on the corresponding pulley I and is then connected to the far end of the second-section boom; one end of a chain II is connected to the near end of the base boom; the other end of each chain II round on the corresponding pulley II and is then connected to the near end of the second-section boom. A novel telescoping boom structure is provided by using the working principle of movable pulleys. Compared with the prior art, the two-section-boom telescoping mechanism disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the mass of the oil cylinder can be reduced by half, so that the stability of a truck is improved, and the properties of an entire machine are enhanced; meanwhile, the working speed of the telescoping boom is doubled, so that the working efficiency is improved, and the manufacturing cost is reduced.
