The invention discloses a hydraulic electronic safety tong system which comprises a safety tong pull rod mechanism, a hydraulic station, a fault detection mechanism and a car. The hydraulic safety tong pull rod mechanism is connected with the hydraulic station. The hydraulic station is electrically connected with the fault detection mechanism. The safety tong pull rod mechanism, the hydraulic station and the fault detection mechanism are arranged on the car. The fault detection mechanism is used for detecting faults of an elevator, such as rope breakage and overspeed, in real time. When the faults happen, the fault detection mechanism feed the faults back to the hydraulic station, and then the hydraulic station controls the safety tong pull rod mechanism to stop the car. According to the design, a speed limiter and safety tongs do not need to be arranged in a separated manner, the structure is simplified, and mounting and maintenance are facilitated; and a hydraulic system is used for control, stability and high reliability are achieved, the service life is long, and the cost is greatly saved.
