The invention relates to a spherical robot based on gesture control. The spherical robot comprises the components of a spherical housing which is used for forming a sphere, a gesture control module which is used for converting the gesture change of a human to a control signal, a master control module which is used for controlling the spherical robot, a wireless transmission module which is used for wireless communication between the master control module and the gesture control module, a switch module which is used for starting motion of the spherical robot, and a power supply module which is used for supplying electric energy to the modules. The spherical robot has advantages of simple structure, high motion speed, high turning flexibility, high operation efficiency, convenient maintenance, etc. The spherical robot can be widely used for children intelligence development, entertainment, unknown field detection, etc.
