The invention discloses a multi-groove oil buffer. The multi-groove oil buffer comprises a shell, a cylinder block and a plunger, wherein the cylinder block and the plunger are located inside the shell, one end of the cylinder block is connected to an oil cylinder base, and the plunger is inserted into the other end of the cylinder block; buffer oil is arranged in a cylindrical cavity defined by the cylinder block and the plunger, oil grooves are formed in the end, in contact with the buffer oil, of the plunger, and the oil grooves are arranged in order by height; the cylinder block and the plunger are sleeved with a reset spring, and a limiting baffle is arranged on the middle section of the plunger. An elevator can be buffered at an approximately constant speed under the damping action of fluid, and the advantage of stable buffering is realized. Under the same condition, the stroke required by the multi-groove oil buffer is half that of a spring buffer. The multi-groove oil buffer is especially suitable for high-speed elevators.
