The invention relates to a vector propelling device, an airship and an installation method for the vector propelling device. The vector propelling device comprises a driving device. The driving device is connected with a propeller and a transition rack; a curvature of the bottom of the transition rack is adaptive to the curvature of a position where the transition rack is installed on the side part of an airship body; the bottom of the transition rack can be fixed and bonded on the side part of the airship body; a propelling support is mounted on the top of the transition rack; the shape and size of the propelling rack is smaller than the shape and size of the bottom of the transition rack; and the driving device is mounted on the propelling support. With the above structure, the whole propelling device can be stably connected to the airship body via the bottom framework with the shape and curvature adaptive to the side part of the airship body; the transition rack is in a spatial structure with larger bottom and small top part, so stable connection is achieved; the distance between the propeller point of the propeller and the airship body can be increased, pneumatic imbalance during propeller rotation can be reduced and interference to the airship body by propeller pneumatic force can be reduced.
