The invention relates to a symmetrical compensation type shock absorber for an automobile seat. The symmetrical compensation type shock absorber for the automobile seat comprises a U-shaped upper cover and two lower covers, wherein the two lower covers and the two free ends of the upper cover are buckled together. An arc-shaped slider matched with the arc-shaped structure of an inner cavity is arranged in the inner cavity of the upper cover. A spring is arranged in each lower cover. The two ends of each spring abut against the bottom of an inner cavity of the corresponding lower cover and one end of the arc-shaped slider. A platform is arranged on the arched portion of the waist portion of the upper cover. The bottoms of the lower covers are arranged in groove blocks. As air needs to enter or exits from gaps between the upper cover and the lower covers in the compressing and rebounding process of the springs, certain time is needed when the air enters or exits from the gaps between the upper cover and the lower covers; thus, because of air pressure in the cavity, the vibration frequency of the shock absorber is determined by the air pressure and the nature of the springs rather than the nature of the inner springs; and the vibration frequency of the shock absorber becomes low to a certain extent and is not regular any more, no resonance is caused, and long-time vibration frequency making human bodies uncomfortable is not caused accordingly.
