The invention provides a container tyre crane and hanger full-field positioning system using encoders. According to the invention, the system stores a pre-mapped electronic map of a wharf and the initial position of a tyre crane in a computer, then converts the pulse number of a travelling tyre crane encoder on the basis of the computer and a reduction ratio so as to acquire the locations of the tyre crane in the full field, and then acquires the position of a trolley and the height of a hanger through a trolley encoder and a hanger encoder so as to further position the crane in the full field; moreover, the system verifies and updates information about container models and tyre crane positions in real time according to hanger signals and hanger lock signals provided by a tyre crane PLC and stowage location provided by a container position management system.
