The invention provides an optimized operation system applicable to an electric locomotive. The system comprises a train running monitoring device, a train optimized operation device and a train communication network. The train running monitoring device is used for providing data related to running of a train; the train optimized operation device is connected with the train running monitoring device and used for performing calculation according to the data transmitted from the train running monitoring device to obtain optimized operation information; the train communication network is connected with the train optimized operation device and used for transmitting the optimized operation information to a traction braking system of the train, to control the traction braking system to make a response according to the optimized operation information, so as to realize automated driving of the electric locomotive. By applying the system, optimized control over the operation of the electric locomotive can be realized, the train can run in a safe, energy-saving and on-time manner under the condition of minimal modification, and the maximum benefit is achieved.
