The invention discloses a single intersection traffic signal optimizing control method. The method comprises steps of establishment of a single intersection traffic signal optimizing control model and designing of a chaos-genetic algorithm based on fuzzy self-adaptation, and accordingly, the single intersection traffic signal optimizing control model is solved. The chaos-genetic algorithm for solving the model is put forward according to a designed fuzzy self-adaptation strategy on the basis of the established single intersection traffic signal optimizing control model. With the application of the method, optimizing timing of a single intersection traffic signal is realized on the premise that traffic safety can be guaranteed. Simulated analysis proves that the single intersection traffic signal optimizing control method is concise and effective.
