The invention relates to a head sheave eccentricity correcting method of a winding type elevator; and the method resets an eccentric head sheave by using the shortest time and the lowest cost under the preconditions of not changing a traditional bearing base foundation and according with related specification requirements. The method comprises the following steps: the size of a traditional nonstandard head sheave base and the actual axial and transverse displacements of head sheaves are measured according to data and actual conditions; a head sheave base support base is designed and manufactured according to the obtained data; and an upper base and bolt holes are correspondingly adjusted according to the actual axial and transverse displacements of head sheaves at two sides after the calculation. As the vertical heights of the head sheaves are increased by the support base, eccentric angles of steel wire ropes are required to be calculated to accord with the related specification requirements. Finally, the head sheave base support base is mounted on the traditional head shave base.
