The invention relates to a self-adjusting mechanism type crane with a cell changing function, comprising a crane jib telescoping mechanism, a cell change control mechanism and a crane jib adjusting mechanism. The crane jib telescoping mechanism is formed by a crane jib, a suspension arm, a balancing block and a pair of hoisting loading and unloading pincers, so that the crane can complete the spatial operations of grabbing, hoisting and unloading containers; the cell change control mechanism and the crane jib adjusting mechanism are both connected by connecting rods, and movable adjustment on the suspension arm can be completed by the moving combined action of the connecting rods. According to the invention, a mechanism type connection is adopted, so that the crane has the advantages of being compact in structure, high in reliability, simple to control, large in working space and the like, and can effectively overcome the defects of high machining precision requirement, high maintenance cost, low reliability, easiness in oil leakage and the like of hydraulic components of a hydraulic crane.
