A passenger ship sink-prevention device is a device which effectively prevents a passenger ship from sinking, thereby avoiding the occurrence of disasters in oceans and rivers, and allowing the passenger ship to be the safest vehicle. A method for preventing the passenger ship from sinking comprises the following steps: installing floating bodies on two sides of the passenger ship, wherein the floating bodies can extend to the two sides, and can be folded below the ship body. The floating bodies are folded below the ship at ordinary times, and are stretched to the two sides for increasing the ability of resisting the wind. The structure of the passenger ship sink-prevention device is that: a shaft seat is coaxially and fixedly installed outside a joint between the ship body (1) and the deck (8); a shaft is arranged inside the shaft seat; the shaft is connected with the floating bodies (5, 10); the lower ends of the floating bodies (5, 10) are connected with one end of a steel rope (7); the other end of the steel rope (7) is fixed and winded on a capstan through the center of a steel pipe which is welded on the center line of the ship body (1).
