The invention discloses a linear motor controlled retractable obstacle-crossing support arm, comprising a front road wheel and a rear road wheel. The front road wheel is mounted on a retractable support arm part, and the rear road wheel is mounted on a support arm body; the rear road wheel is provided internally with a PTO (power take-off) shaft for driving the rear road wheel to rotate, and the rear road wheel drives the front road wheel to rotate by an obstacle-crossing track; driving by a cam mechanism of a linear motor, the retractable support arm part can perform concertina movement relative to the support arm body; and a tensioner mechanism fixed on the support arm body is matched with a cam of the cam mechanism of the linear motor to tension the obstacle-crossing track. According to the linear motor controlled retractable obstacle-crossing support arm and an obstacle-crossing robot, the linear motor is small in size, light in weight, large in thrust, and high in transmission accuracy; the cam mechanism and the tensioner mechanism are simple in structure, convenient to manufacture, and safe and reliable; the support arm part is capable of stretching and changing length, thus the adaptability to complex environments is excellent; by changing the retractable support arm part different in length and the tensioner different in size, the object of adjusting the overall length of the support arm is easily achieved.
