The invention discloses a monitoring system based on the Internet of Things for a forklift in a factory. The monitoring system comprises an intelligent device arranged on the forklift. The intelligent device comprises a blind node. The blind node is connected with a controller, a weighing sensor, a speed sensor, an engine rotating speed sensor, an engine temperature sensor and an RFID card reader. The controller is connected with a voice broadcasting device and a relay. At least two reference nodes are arranged in the factory. The monitoring system further comprises a coordinator, a processor and a control terminal. The coordinator is connected with the blind node, the reference nodes and the processor. The processor is connected with the control terminal. According to the monitoring system, a forklift driver can be recognized, the driver can be reminded when the forklift deviates from a track and is overspeed or overloaded, and the situations are handled correspondingly.
