The invention discloses a ship diesel-electric hybrid power device based on shaft driven motor and diesel engine parallel operation propulsion. The ship diesel-electric hybrid power device comprises a diesel main engine, a diesel engine electric control system, a gearbox, a gearbox control mechanism, a first elastic shaft coupler, a second elastic shaft coupler, a PTO/PTI reversible shaft driven motor, a PTO/PTI mode switching control device and a parallel operation control device, wherein the gearbox control mechanism is used for controlling the engagement and the disengagement of the gearbox; and the parallel operation control device is in two-way electric connection with the diesel engine electric control system, the gearbox control mechanism and the PTO/PTI mode switching control device. The invention also discloses a method for controlling the shaft driven motor and diesel engine parallel operation propulsion by the ship diesel-electric hybrid power device. The automatic control of the parallel operation propulsion of the PTO/PTI reversible shaft driven motor and the diesel main engine can be realized.
