A method for determining regenerative braking torque comprises steps as follows: Step 1, determining a first braking capacity recovery coefficient lambda1 according to the opening degree of a braking pedal and the revolving speed of a motor; Step 2, determining a second braking capacity recovery coefficient lambda2 according to the SOC value of a battery; Step 3, determining the maximum permissible braking torque M of the motor according to characteristics of the motor and the maximum permissible charging power of the battery; Step 4, determining the braking torque T according to the first braking capacity recovery coefficient lambda1, the second braking capacity recovery coefficient lambda2 and the maximum permissible braking torque M of the motor. The method for determining the regenerative braking torque solves technical problems that output regenerative braking torque can disappear suddenly, the braking sensibility of a vehicle is affected and a battery system is damaged due to the fact that whether the regenerative braking torque exists or not is determined according to the magnitude of the SOC value of the high-voltage battery only in the prior art.
