A rail car traction device in a corridor elevator is provided. A rack is internally provided with a rail car; one side surface facing a pedal of the rail car is connected with a steel wire rope; the upper end of the rack is provided with a rotary table and a motor for driving the rotary table to rotate; the steel wire rope sequentially penetrates through a lower pulley and an upper pulley and is connected into the rotary table. According to the device, the connection position and the connection structure of the steel wire rope and the rail car are optimized, so that the post-period maintenance and overhauling of the steel wire rope is more convenient and simpler. Meanwhile, the upper pulley and the lower pulley, and the rotary table are directly driven so that the operation manner of the rail car is simpler, and excessive connection parts in the rack are avoided; the space is optimized, the cost is reduced and the loss of electric power is also reduced.
