The invention relates to a self-adaptive control system of a traffic intersection signal lamp. The control system comprises a plurality of cameras, a plurality of signal lamp controllers and a remote monitoring platform, wherein the cameras correspond to the signal lamp controllers one by one, each camera is correspondently connected to a signal lamp controller, each camera is used for photographing an intersection at which the signal lamp controlled by the signal lamp controller is arranged and acquiring the intersection image, the signal lamp controller is used for compressing and encoding the intersection image and packing the intersection image in a UDP (user datagram protocol) way so as to output intersection image network data, the remote monitoring platform is connected to the plurality of signal lamp controllers by virtue of a 4G network so as to acquire a plurality of intersection image network data and is used for self-adaptively controlling a plurality of signal lamps respectively controlled by a plurality of signal lamp controllers according to the plurality of intersection image network data. By adopting the self-adaptive control system, the duration of traffic lights of the signal lamp of a plurality of intersections can be self-adaptively determined according to the specific traffic flow situation of a plurality of intersections at the same road section, and the traffic flow can be reasonably scheduled.
