The invention discloses a novel automobile laser ranging device, and belongs to the technical field of automobile electronics. The novel automobile laser ranging device is mainly characterized in that a steering wheel sensor detects the angle by which a steering wheel is rotated; a single-chip microcomputer controls a drive motor to drive an input gear of a speed reducer; the speed reducer can then work; an output gear of the speed reducer drives a rack to move leftwards and rightwards; when the rack moves towards one side, a cylindrical iron stick welded to one end of the rack drives a laser transmitter to swing towards the other side through a supporting pin, and the curve ranging function is achieved, wherein the swinging angle and the average value of rotation angles of inner side wheels and outer side wheels are required to be consistent, and the rotation angles of the wheels are represented by the rotation angle of the steering wheel due to the fact that a certain proportional relation exists between the rotation angles of the wheels and the rotation angle of the steering wheel. The novel automobile laser ranging device is high in adaptability in the linear driving process and can find vehicles in the front for drivers in advance in the curve driving process, and the possibility of accidents is lowered.
