The stacking crown block operation method comprises the steps that a stacking crown block PLC controls a main winching system of a stacking crown block to descend after the stacking crown block PLC receives a vertical coordinate signal for an automatic locating system of the stacking crown block to clamp a carbon block group, whether a stacking crown block clamp reaches up to the clamping position of the carbon block group is judged according to the descending distance of the main winching system, and the stacking crown block PLC begins to control the clamp to finish the operation for clamping the carbon block group after the stacking crown block PLC receives a signal that the main winching system releases a rope; and a carbon block group weighing module of the stacking crown block begins to measure the weight of the carbon block group and sends a weight signal to the stacking crown block PLC, and the stacking crown block PLC controls the main winching system to continue to lift the anode carbon block group to an upper limit position if the weight of the carbon block group is within a normal control range, so that the process that the anode carbon block group is automatically clamped by using the stacking crown block is finished.
