The invention provides a train tail protocol monitoring method and device. The method comprises steps as follows: monitoring command information, marking sending time of the command information if the command information is monitored, judging whether the command information is an effective command of a train tail system or not, further judging whether the command information is sent repeatedly or not if the command information is the effective command, and displaying the time interval of repeated sending of the command information if the command information is sent repeatedly. With the adoption of the train tail protocol monitoring method and device, command protocol content between all operating sources and train tail safety protection devices, command sending time points of the operating sources and repeated command sending time nodes of the operating sources can be monitored timely and accurately.
