An intelligent positioning speed limiter comprises a controller installed in an automobile. A microprocessor, and a positioning device and a wireless communication module connected with the microprocessor are arranged in the controller; the microprocessor is in remote connection with a remote database through the wireless communication module; the microprocessor is also connected with a speedometer and a brake device of the automobile. The intelligent positioning speed limiter can query speed limit information according to the current vehicle position, and perform intelligent speed deceleration according to the speed limit information. The intelligentization degree is high, the structure is simple, use is convenient, the probability of overspeed is lowered, and smooth traffic and driving safety are guaranteed.
