The invention relates to an intelligent brightness regulation system for an automotive headlamp. The intelligent brightness regulation system is characterized by comprising a photoreceptor, a dimming circuit, a control circuit, a vehicular power supply and a headlamp, wherein the photoreceptor is mainly composed of photosensitive resistors; the dimming circuit is mainly composed of capacitors, controlled silicon and peripheral circuits thereof; when ambient light is weakened, the resistance of the photosensitive resistors is increased, and the component voltage applied on the capacitors is increased, so that the conduction angle of the controlled silicon is increased, the voltages at two ends of the headlamp are increased, and the brightness of the headlamp is increased; otherwise, if the ambient light is brightened, the resistance of the photosensitive resistors is decreased, the conduction angle of the controlled silicon is decreased, the voltages at two ends of the headlamp are decreased synchronously, and the brightness of the headlamp is decreased. According to the intelligent brightness regulation system for the automotive headlamp, the brightness of the headlamp is automatically regulated according to the ambient light through the coordination of the photoreceptor, the dimming circuit and the control circuit, so that the scientific sense of an automobile can be improved, the driving safety is improved, and the effect of energy saving is also achieved.
