The invention relates to a method for controlling a coordinating signal of adjacent splitting type road signal control pedestrian crosswalks. The method comprises the following steps of for a single splitting type road signal control pedestrian crosswalk, according to a time and distance relationship of a pedestrian, establishing a maximum street crosswalk time calculating method of the pedestrian; for the adjacent splitting type road signal control pedestrian crosswalks along an urban trunk road, according to a time and distance relationship of locomotives, at the premise of guaranteeing the bidirectional green wave effect of the locomotives, minimizing the maximum value of the maximum street crosswalk time of the pedestrian at any pedestrian crosswalk and any walking direction as a target, and adopting an integer nonlinear programming method to establish a coordinating signal timing and optimizing model. The method has the advantages that the model structure is simple, the undetermined parameters are fewer and can be easily determined, multiple transportation running methods can be provided for the locomotives and the pedestrians, the passing time resource supply and demand relationship of the locomotives and the pedestrians can be flexibly adjusted, the practicality is good, the suitability is wide, and the method can be popularized and applied in engineering practices.
