The invention discloses a tower crane safety mechanism which at least comprises a first tower crane, a second tower crane and a radar mechanism, wherein the first and second tower cranes are adjacent, each tower crane comprises a cab and a boom, and the radar mechanism is used for measuring the distance between the front end of the boom of the first tower crane and the front end of the boom of the second tower crane, and comprises a radar transmitter, a radar receiver and a signal processor, the radar transmitter is arranged at the front end of the boom of the first tower crane, the radar receiver is arranged at the front end of the boom of the second tower crane, and the signal processor is arranged in the cab of the second tower crane; and displays are respectively arranged in the cabs of the two tower cranes, the signal processor in the cab of the second tower crane simultaneously transmits distance information to the display in the cab of the second tower crane and sends the distance information to a wireless receiving device arranged in the first cab through a wireless communication device, and the wireless receiving device sends the received distance information to the display in the cab of the first tower crane.
