The invention discloses an automotive roof made of a novel material and belongs to the field of automotive exterior decoration parts. The novel material is a high-strength steel plate containing phosphorus with a high-strength steel plate body serving as the base material and phosphorus serving as the adding element to be used for manufacturing the high-strength automotive roof through cold rolling. The strength of the novel material is high and is higher than that of an ordinary cold rolled steel plate by about 20%. The novel material has high strength and plasticity balancing performance, in other words, elongation and strain hardening exponent are reduced slightly along with the increase of strength. The corrosion resistance of the novel material is high and higher than that of the ordinary cold rolled steel plate by 20%. The novel material is high in spot weldability and is easy to recycle. The novel material has broad development prospects in the current trend of light weight, energy saving, consumption reduction and emission pollution reduction of automotive materials.
