The invention discloses a rubber shock absorber. The shock absorber comprises a mandrel, an upper axial elastic body, a lower axial elastic body, a radial shock absorbing pad and an assembly body; the upper axial elastic body and the lower axial elastic body are arranged on the mandrel in a sleeving mode, the shock absorbing pad and the assembly body which are matched with each other are arranged between the upper axial elastic body and the lower axial elastic body, the upper end of the upper axial elastic body and the lower end of the lower axial elastic body are provided with an upper gasket and a lower gasket respectively, the upper gasket and the lower gasket are arranged on the mandrel in a sleeving mode, a square-head bolt connected with the mandrel is arranged on the top of the upper gasket, and a locknut connected with the mandrel is arranged on the bottom of the lower gasket. The shock absorber solves the problems that a traditional top plate shock absorber is poor in shock absorbing and noise reducing effect, low in structural reliability and short in service life.
