In a visibility support device for a vehicle (100), a camera (110) positioned on the front side of a vehicle provides an image of the rear side of the vehicle, which contains part of a side of the vehicle, as a camera image. An input unit (120) receives an input operation and generates an input signal. A control unit (130) clips a desired range of the camera image on the basis of the input signal to obtain a clipped image. The control unit clips the camera image on the basis of: a vertical reference line (V), which includes part of the side of the vehicle in the clipped image before the input operation to the input unit, and horizontal reference lines (H1 to H3), which are perpendicular to the vertical reference line; and the direction of movement for changing to the desired range inputted to the input unit.
