The invention discloses a 360 degrees panoramic shooting unit and method. The unit comprises a quad-rotor aerial vehicle, a single-chip microcomputer master control module, a scene shooting module, a wireless communication module, a remote image splicing computer and a printing device. The quad-rotor aerial vehicle is used as a carrier which carries the single-chip microcomputer master control module, the scene shooting module and the wireless communication module for shooting; photos are transmitted to the remote image splicing computer for image splicing, through the wireless communication module, and spliced images are printed by the printing device. Substantially the 360 degrees panoramic shooting unit is suitable for various scenic spots, widely applicable and low in cost, is capable of stably shooting to obtain 360 degrees panoramic images of different heights to by the aid of image splicing and the quad-rotor aerial vehicle, saves time and labor by running in the full-automatic manner and is more accurate and reliable.
