The invention discloses a parallel to serial control method for a gas-electric hybrid type hybrid power system. In a parallel to serial mode, the clutch separation condition is associated with the rotating speed and the voltage, and when an engine conforms to the engine halt condition and the rotating speed is higher than the idling rotating speed after the clutch separation, only gas is cut; an ISG (integrated starter generator) cannot immediately reversely drag the engine to the engine halt state; if a driver pedals an accelerator for acceleration at the moment, the gas is immediately supplied to the engine, and the ignition is carried out; the hybrid power system can fast enter the parallel mode; the unnecessary starting and stopping of the engine is avoided; the fuel is saved; meanwhile the method is associated with the voltage; a vehicle maintains better power performance under the condition that the electric quantity of a power supplying power source is insufficient, and the comfort, the power performance and the economic performance of the vehicle are improved.
