A novel plug-in parallel hybrid power system comprises a power battery system (B), a drive motor system (M1), a drive motor system (M2), an engine (E), a clutch (C) and a transmission (T). The novel plug-in parallel hybrid power system is characterized in that the novel plug-in parallel hybrid power system is provided with the three power drive devices of the M1, the M2 and the E; the M1 is only used for assisting in driving a vehicle and recycling braking energy; the M2 is only used for driving the vehicle and recycling braking energy; the E is only used for driving the vehicle under the non-pure-electric drive mode and does not have a power generation mode. According to the different operating conditions of the vehicle, the vehicle has seven power driving modes and three brake energy recycling modes, through the multiple drive combination modes and the brake energy recycling modes, the power performance of the vehicle is improved, and the working efficiency of a drive motor and the brake energy recycling efficiency are improved; in addition, as the engine does not have the power generation work mode, the energy loss in the power generation step of the engine is eliminated, and the fuel economy of the whole vehicle is improved.
