The invention provides a single-point intersection signal timing parameter optimization method based on bayonet data. Existing urban intersection signal control is mostly based on profile data of an annular coil detector arranged behind a parking line, and if the detector is badly damaged, travel time, delay and other traffic flow evaluation parameters used for traffic control can not be obtained. According to the basic idea of the method, a bayonet electronic police system is used for obtaining vehicle license plate recognition data, travel time and delay of all phase traffic flow from an upstream intersection to a current intersection are obtained by matching upstream vehicle license plates and downstream vehicle license plates, a signal cycle is obtained through phase saturation degree optimization, and effective green light time of each phase is obtained through optimization according to delay change conditions of different phases. The method for intersection signal timing by means of existing electronic police data is provided, and accordingly investment for arranging intersection detectors can be reduced, and intersection traffic control efficiency is effectively improved.
