The invention provides an electric car with smooth and comfortable ride. The electric car with the smooth and comfortable ride comprises a controller and a relay, wherein the relay comprises two individual relay bodies integrated in one shell body, one is provided with a public end, and the other is not provided with the public end. A normal-closed contact of the front relay body is connected with a movable contact of the other relay body. A signal switch conditioning circuit of the controller comprises two drive circuits which are driven through two I/O end ports of a single chip microcomputer to control the conduction or switching off of the coils of the relay A and the relay B. A three-phase output end port of a motor drive circuit is respectively in winding connection with the low, the medium or the high gears of a motor through switching of the relay A and the relay B. A Hall sensor is connected with the single chip microcomputer through a Hall signal conditioning circuit. A relay conditioning circuit is connected with the control ends of the relay A and the relay B. Due to the fact that the electric car adopts a three-speed motor, a three-speed controller and a three-gear relay to control the speed of the electric car, the speed difference among the three gears is smaller, the switching effect is more smooth and comfortable, and the controller has the fault tolerance function that three gears can be changed into two gears.
